 The center of the Brightwater Lagoon and The Shores at Brightwater in North Fort Myers is a 6 acres (24,000 square meter) lagoon with an island for swimming and relaxing.

Brightwater Lagoon is being built by developer Lennar, which offers 7 single-family home floor plans in the development. Prices start at just over $400,000 for a house with a pool.

The community has a gated entrance and offers an community center, hiking trails and a dog park.

The Shores at Brightwater is across the street. DR Horton is building semi-detached and single-family homes there, which are offered starting at $350,000. The complex only allows owners who are at least 55 years old. It has gated access and offers a clubhouse with fitness center.
